Alcheringa Hostel Swan Hill

Following the introduction of new government regulations that would come into effect in 2008, Alcheringa Hostel's existing facility would no longer effectively meet the changing and growing needs under Federal Aged Care. In March 2006, Stonehenge presented a radical proposal to Alcheringa that included identifying a new 7.5ha site at Tower Hill that would not only include a new 75 bed Aged Care facility, but also a site for a 150-home retirement masterplan community.

The complex Alcheringa Hostel building featured various 'wings' and world-class aged care facilities for its residents and carers. When designing the complex, Stonehenge architects took into consideration the need for lifestyle and age-appropriate facilities within the Hostel. Throughout, residents can enjoy cosy retreat areas, piano bars and beautifully designed outdoor areas.

Alcheringa's CEO, Ann Rough says
